The BVLGARI structures comprise a series of fifteen 8.5 metre high pyramid shapes constructed to replicate complex diamond cuts. The structure was designed by leading French designer Fabien Iliou and developed by Eng. Mauro Quintarelli with the collaboration of Eng. Sonia Adiutori.
Fastmount panel mounting systems were used to attach the mirror-finish panels to the structure, enabling a quick set up and pack down. Clips from the Standard Range, PC-F1A and PC-M2H were used for their versatility, and for the 10kg pull out load of the heavy duty male clip. The panels were positioned on the structure below the glass roof of the Gran Palais to enhance the light effects on the diamond like structures.
Responsible for the BVLGARI installation, were Italians Massimiliano Clarizio, Director of C.M. Wood S.r.l. Italy and Claudio Cardoni, Director of Green Allestimenti S.r.l. Italy. C.M. Wood, who identified Fastmount panel mounting systems as the ideal solution for panel mounting in this application.
