Large Decortech removable ceiling panels installed by Legacy Construction at the entrance foyer to a personnel consultancy company. These large panels are MDF Multigroove 3/32 and paint finished fire safe MDF.

Using Fastmount means the fixings are concealed, yet the panels can be easily removed and replaced in any sequence time after time. Fastmount PC-F1 self tapping female and PC-M2H self tapping heavy duty male clips from the Standard range were used.

“With the challenge of complicated geometry ceiling panel application, Fastmount worked very well. I will definitely use Fastmount again”.

Michael Kimura-Dines, Site Manager, Legacy Construction.

Couach chose Fastmount for their 50M yacht built of GRP and Kevlar, due for launch in December 2011.

"In this yachts' case (Couach 50M), the ceiling panels in the salon are fully lacquered veneered honeycomb panels, which traditionally are very demanding to line up", says Jean-Yves Carteret, Head of Accommodation Engineering, Chantier Navavl Couach

"Fastmount made it easier and faster. All exterior panels (see images) are installed with Fastmount clips, giving a very neat finish".

"The in-house Couach woodworking division are very happy with the Fastmount system, and are looking forward to trialing the PC-RF1 Right Angle clip, and the new Low profile clip range from Fastmount." added Carteret.

Founded in 1897 Chantier Naval Couach designs and builds tailor-made luxury yachts in Arcachon Bay, France.

Common sense, accuracy, ingenuity and 100 years of naval construction constitute their secret for attaining perfection for each of their yachts.

Nautitech's 54 ft sailing cat nearing completion has Fastmount clips in ceiling panels and hull/bulkhead panels. They also use Fastmount clips in the 44 ft sailing cats as well.

They use a combination of clips to achieve the perfect panel mounting, mainly the PC-M1A and the PC-F1 but also the VS-M1.The Vario clip was used on angled panels where they need a little adjustment off the frame.

"The (Fastmount) clips are well liked by the installers - it makes installation easy. Plus, the Nautitech team like them because they can show the customer how easy it is to access behind the panels", says Michel Atry, Project Manager, Nautitech Shipyards, France

The Fastmount system has been used for the BVLGARI exposition to celebrate 125th anniversary for the luxury jewellery brand at the Gran Palais, Paris, France from 10 December to 12 January 2011.

The BVLGARI structures comprise a series of fifteen 8.5 metre high pyramid shapes constructed to replicate complex diamond cuts. Designed by leading French designer Fabien Iliou and developed by Eng. Mauro Quintarelli with the collaboration of Eng. Sonia Adiutori

Using Fastmount panel mounting systems, the mirror finish panels are positioned below the Gran Palais glass roof to create special light effects on the diamond like structures.

Responsible for the BVLGARI installation, were Italians Massimiliano Clarizio, Director, C.M. Wood S.r.l. Italy and Claudio Cardoni, Director, Green Allestimenti S.r.l. Italy. C.M. Wood identified Fastmount panel mounting systems as the ideal solution, for panel mounting.

Designed by Architecture & Vision, this state of the art solar-powered mobile lounge (approx. 9 x 4.5 metres) debuted in Venice, Italy as part of the Venice Biennale.

Made from the finest Carrara marble, the exterior is perfectly flush.

As the Project Manager for the installation Pierre Frey identified the Fastmount system as the perfect exterior cladding solution for assembling the double curved lightweight statuario marble panels on top of the fiberglass shell. It provided perfect alignment and a flush finish.

Frey, is a specialist in marble installations and typically works in the marine and architecture sectors. With over 10 years experience, his clients include luxury hotels, villas, concept projects, Amels, De Vries Feadship, Heesen, Oceanco & Royal Huisman.

"I chose to use Fastmount because I wanted my shield shaped panels to be removable," says Frey.

Long bolts were welded on a metal plate and screwed into the shell. Then long nuts were used with Center Point Inserts to mark the honeycomb support to the marble panel and drilled to fit the Fastmount self tapping female clips (PC-F1).

"It was then a kid's trick to adapt the self tapping male clip (PC-M2H) at the end of the long nut. Using three, four or five devices for each panel, you could regulate the height of the panels in relation to the shell so the final result would be perfectly flush between 80 (eighty) pieces of cladding the final product", says Frey.

"No doubt I would use Fastmount again because the clips worked perfectly. The possibility to remove or replace the (marble) panels is both a quality and an advantage", adds Frey.

The interior of the mobile unit can be configured according to the requirements and the number of inhabitants. Powered by the rooftop solar panels, the latest in lighting, video and music technologies has been incorporated.

"Fastmount is the perfect cost and time effective solution for remodelling yacht interiors," Dave Low, Project Manager Integrated Marine Group.

It started innocently enough - could refit specialists Integrated Marine undertake the complete internal refit of Black Pearl a Bertram 70 dating back to the 1970s in just eight weeks?

By cleverly utilising Fastmount panel mounting system, New Zealand based Integrated Marine Group may have unearthed a whole new way of tackling Yacht refits.

During lengthy, concept brainstorming, the team at Integrated Marine Group put forward the possibility of removing doors, cabinet fronts, bulkheads and ceiling panels from the boat while retaining the basic structure or frame work that had held it all in place.

Onto this new decorative work could be installed. Integrated Marine Group chose to employ the Fastmount panel clip system to quickly but effectively transform the interior of the vessel in the short timeframe.

They had used the system in recent projects and realised using Fastmount clip systems would allow them to build over the top of the existing cabinetry to create a completely new and fresh interior all the while accommodating the interior designer's concept ideas.

This would make the job dramatically cheaper by using the existing cabinetry shells, but would also minimise the labour content enabling the job to be completed within the 6 week timeframe to transform the interior.

The Fastmount system was utilised to attach new veneered oak panels to the existing cabinetry bases. Fabric covered wall panels and headlining panels were dealt with in the same fashion whilst leaving full access to any existing spaces underneath by simply detaching modular panels to reveal the existing skeleton of the interior.

Using different clips across the Fastmount range allowed every panel to be re covered, painted stained or varnished off site well away from the dirty and dust of a working shipyard. This minimised the need for heavy masking and the protecting of other surfaces inside the cramped interior of the vessel.

With all the dirty heavy engineering work completed and with not more than 3 days before delivery date, all of the panels were brought down to the vessel and installed in less than a day completely transforming the interior.

Dave Low, Refit Project Manager of Integrated Marine Group said "I would imagine that if we had been forced to remove the entire interior skeleton and rebuild from scratch it would have taken at least three times as long to complete.

Even gluing panels on top of the existing skeletons would have been far more time consuming and again would have been reflected in the cost. By using Fastmount and taking into account the cost of labour I would estimate that the final price of this refit could have doubled if not tripled."

A combination of smart interior design, a talented refit team and the Fastmount product has allowed one refit project to come to fruition on price and inside a very limited timeframe.
